Starting off her musical journey at the age of 6, she credits musicians of the past few decades, largely influenced by the likes of Chaka Khan, Toni Braxton, and Prince just to name a few. Churning her musical roots in local churches and enrolling in theatre art programs throughout education, Cedrina was largely surrounded amongst a variety of musical elements.
Cedrina is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Her collegiate career included a multitude of various singing acts, eventually leading to more performances within her sisterhood organization, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. After graduating, Cedrina relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to finally pursue a career in music.
Being a contestant on the renowned global television series, American Idol, which has vastly contributed to the development of careers for the likes of Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks, Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, Cedrina received four “Yes’s” from the television series’ judges, advancing to the second-round of the competition before being eliminated.
